 More Fireworks, artsy style..

We enjoyed a beautiful evening of fireworks with friends yesterday.  After shooting many photos of fireworks on the tripod, I handheld the camera and "painted" (kept the camera in motion while taking the exposure) with the fireworks....

(these are taken with my digital Canon SLR, 300 mm zoom lens)

..and here is one with a guest photographer...I handed my camera to my friend sitting next to me, and she tried her hand at painting with fireworks.....

Beautiful!!!  She was very pleased, exclaiming it looks like a spider web.

One more on the tripod

All of these exposures were about 5-10 seconds long, shot on manual with the bulb setting, ISO 1600, about f16.

I have more long exposure photos from this evening...til next time!

What fun! Your friend is a natural artist, too! I'm so happy the rains have come to you and you got to enjoy your sky filled with color.
